I live in Wills Point, Texas. That is half between Dallas and Tyler, Texas. Our high school student council has taken the list of all the people that was killed on 9/11. They had bracelets made with each individuals name on one. They were given to the faculty and students to wear. We were instructed to wear it through 9/11 and pray for this person and there family. I was given a SPECIAL ANGEL named Matthew Carmen Sellitto. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this 10 year anniversary. May God Bless You.

It would be a nice fall day to crank the music and drive back to Burlington with you.

Dear Matthew,

My mother is your dad's cousin. Today, 9/11/10, I've placed a little flag outside to honor you. Smile on us from eternal bliss.

Matt,

We miss you and think of you often, with all the great fun times we had! I know George really misses you! It still hurts when we think of you, but we still smile about the time you and George had at that christening day! I think your mom is still mad at George! LOL!

It has been eight years, and I miss you very much. Our whole family thinks of you often and always will. Jonthan is growing up so much and is doing great as a chef.... You would be so proud of who he is today and what he wants to do! :-) Love and miss you always.

I was Matt's boss when he worked for me at Blockbuster Video in Morristown. I still think of him from time to time, especially as the anniversary approaches. I only knew him for a short time, but I remember Matt as a fun loving and care free young man with a bright future. My prayers are with the family of this fine young man as I am sure he is sorely missed.

It does not get any easier year after year you are gone.
Our family misses you so much. I miss you, Cassie really misses you! The last time we were together was at Daniel's Christening - we cut the line to get food and drinks. We laughed and you told me how great it was for us to be so close! We really are more than first cousins we were brother & sister- along with Jonathan!

I will always keep your memory alive !

In Memory
What was it you had said?
Why did you have to go?
Each simple little memory
Now passes by so slow.
I am stuck in the yesterday
Not wanting to accept
The horrid truth that you are gone
Your life taken without threat
This morning you awoke
To face a brand new day
But a cold-hearted terrorist
Took that gift away
Though the grave cry for the lost
In the settling of the dust
They failed to shake our foundation
For in God we put our trust.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
