That's truly the most heartbreaking thing I've heard. I couldn't possibly begin to understand what she, along with the other victims that day, must have gone through. Her bravery is inspiring; her loss was tragic.

Beautiful on earth, beautiful still. We love you, all of you brave souls. You were so brave. You touch my heart.

R.I.P., Melissa. You seemed like a really nice person, and when I heard your call and saw your picture, you seemed so familiar to me, like we met once before. But I was so young when this happened, so I don't think we met or that I've seen you anywhere. It's like I knew who you were, now that you inspire many, including me.

Your picture and last words are with me still; you seem so real to me. I pray that your family and friends are comforted. May none of us ever have to go through the terror that you went through. God bless you all.

Dear Melissa,

I don't know you personally, but I stumbled upon your 9-11 call on Youtube.... It's heartbreaking. I cannot imagine what you went through. From what little I've read about you, I can clearly see that you're a beautiful person, a beautiful soul. You are a bright light, and I say "are" instead of "were" because your light will never be diminished. It'll never be past tense. I love you.  )O(

Living thousands of miles away in Pakistan, we remember you and all those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks. You will never be forgotten ... the whole Muslim world remembers the heroes of 9/11.

The people who did this act are not Muslims, but enemies of humanity.

I did not know you, but I cry when I hear your voice. I WISH I could have saved each and every one of you. To me, all of you are heroes and angels.

I did not know Melissa, but I have been brought to tears by her story. It has made me realize that each day on this Earth is truly a gift, and I must never take one for granted. I promise to take these tears and turn them into something good in her honor. ~ Never stop dancing! <3 <3

I never knew Melissa, but I was captivated by her life during the events of 9-11. There are so many tears.

To Melissa's friends and family:

I prayed today that you'll continue to be strong. Hope. Continue to hope.

Dear Melissa,

I never knew you. But when I heard your voice, I could relate how bad you would have felt that day.

Love always.

That day when you were having your last conversation with that woman, I was far away from New York. I'm from Argentina, and I'm currently 18 years old now. I remember being sad that day, but I couldn't realize how big everything was that was happening. Now I do, and believe me, although we didn't ever meet, you are a hero for me because being up there must have been really hard! Hearing your voice asking, "Am I going to die?" makes me want to go up to floor 83 and save you all! R.I.P., Melissa, SOS UNA HEROINA PARA SIEMPRE!

[Ed. - You are a hero forever!]

I listened to your last conversation, and I just wanted to reach out to you and lift you and your friends to safety. I will never forget you.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
