Meredith, I have wanted to write many times but could never find the right words. Now I feel I need to write, whether I have the right words or not. Like many others, I have been fighting the terrible feelings that we were left with after the terrible acts of 9-11. I may not have lost a family member, but the thought that so many people did is just a terrible thing to think about and deal with, so I can only imagine what this is like for your family. I think of them all the time and hope they are doing well even with this terrible loss.
In February 2001 I traveled by van with my brother and the members of his band from Michigan to NY. They had been asked to come to NY and play at The Elbow Room. They were so excited, and I just had to take the trip with them to see my little brother play in the 'Big City'.
We were connected with you through Carol and that was one of the best parts of our weekend. You took us through the World Trade Center, we went to the roof where my brother fought his fear of heights, we had Thai food at your favorite place, walked around NYC and saw some of the sights then headed to Hoboken so you could show us where you lived. There we saw your favorite park and looked across the river at the World Trade Center and were fascinated by how awesome it looked at night.
Then we walked around Hoboken and hit a couple clubs. We had the best night and that's because we had met a great new friend. You are such a fantastic person, and I am truly happy that I was so fortunate to meet you and spend what little time we did together. Chip and I really miss you and the opportunity we would have had to continue the friendship we started just a few months before you were taken.
Out of all of this though I have had a huge reality check and know how important life is as well as family and friends. So to make all of this tragedy worth something I have to remember that, and remember the many wonderful people that were lost on that awful day.
Through your loss I have also met your mom, sister and many of your friends, and they are all great people and I only wish I could have known you as well as they do. Meredith, you will always be in my thoughts and I am grateful for having the opportunity to meet such a wonderful person! God Bless You!!

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
