Happy 10yrs in Heaven Mike. My husband and two sons went to a memorial service in NJ this morning and the first song played was "Imagine". Thinking of you all today. Rest In Peace.....

I never had the pleasure to know you, but I was married to your cousin Paul, and on a trip to NYC in 2002, we visited Marc and Lisa and ALL the precious kids! My children are 20 and 17, and you and I were the same age when you were taken too soon! This day is always a remembrance, and all your family, direct or indirect, in NY and south Florida will NEVER FORGET!

It's that time of the year again. September 11th is approaching, and I feel it in my bones. I'll be a part of the 9/11 commemorative ceremony this year to honor your memory and the memory of all the people lost that tragic day nine years ago. Watch over the kids. They need you now more than ever.

Hey, Mike,

I know you are good. I don't really believe in these websites too much, but I thought I'd try. No one misses you more than I do. But you are great, and I have done everything you asked of me. I'll miss you forever, but I'll be right next to you soon enough.

I'm going to Nicole's moving up day ceremony and really missing your presence. In the next coming months the kids will be turning 19, 17, and 14. I believe you are watching over them every single day. I know that you are in heaven, and I'm sure you are having a great time up there.

Love you and miss you,
Denise Taddonio

It's been about ten years since I last saw you. You used to come into the restaurant that a whole bunch of us worked at. You always greeted us with a smile, and you were so proud of all of your children. Just thinking of you.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I've been watching the JETS, and I can still hear you cheering them on. J E T S!

Love you and miss you,

I was terribly sad for you and your lovely family when I heard what happened. You, your twin brother, your lovely sister, and of course your older brother were all a special part of my memories and experiences of our summers growing up at Brookville. It wouldn't have been the same without you and your family. My memories of you always stood out. I am proud to have known you.

We often think of you.... We visited the Suffolk county memorial and saw your name in lights.... It was beautiful....

My grandfather's name was Michael Taddonio and my mother's name was Theresa Maria Taddonio Silkie.
A cousin of mine told me she was creating a family tree and that Michael Taddonio, who perished on 9/11, was a relative of ours.
My prayers are with you all on this very sad day.
Theresa Marie Silkie

I am thinking of you and your family today.
Mike was my broker when he worked at Cantor Fitzgerald. He always made me laugh. You and so many others are in my prayers always....

I didn't know Mike, but we graduated from the same college, Siena College, ten years apart, in 1974 and 1984. This year is my 35th reunion, and it would have been his 25th. I am just thinking about Mike and his family.

I didn't know Mike, but my mother's maiden name was Taddonio. I found Mike's memorial by accident. As a police officer, I felt I had lost something or someone in the attack. I now know why I felt this way. I have been involved in anti-terrorism in law enforcement, and I will do all that I can to try to prevent something like this from happening again. This I pledge for all of us.

I grew up living across the street from Mike and his family on Sherman Street. I helped take of and raise his three children from birth. Mike was an outstanding father and one of then nicest people I have ever met. I have many memories that I keep in my heart, and not a day goes bye that I do not think of Mike and miss him and his smile...

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
