Janis, you will never be forgotten. Still remember your smile.

Today I think of Linda, living with the constant reminder of 9/11 - the loss if Janis. Janis always watched over Linda and I know she is even more protective today. God bless Janis. Linda, she lives on through you. Love you, Julie xoxoxox

So sorry... I have always wondered if this was my good friend from junior high school. We are the same age and never could find any documentation if it was her.Lynn newspaper never mentioned she attended school there.  As mentioned above she always had a beautiful smile. If someone knows if this is the same janis that attended Cobbet Jr. High in Lynn. I do not believe she went to Classical I think she moved to Revere. We ate lunch together everyday and was such nice person.

I still remember you, and the compassion and care you showed to your ailing dad. I had a lot of respect for you because of that compassion. I provided support for your dad at the time, but I remember wishing that if I should have a daughter, she would show me the same love. You were a special human being, and you are not forgotten.

For reasons I don't fully understand, I felt compelled today to watch and contemplate much of the footage and news coverage surrounding the events of 9/11. I saw this particular lady's name listed as one of the victims of Flight 11. I did not mean to single out this person in particular, but I felt drawn to her name and picture in a certain way.

To her family and friends, I offer you my deepest sympathies. Despite this terrible tragedy that life has sent your way, I hope the future holds in store for you so much love, feelings of rest, feelings of peace, and songs of hope.

09/11/2010 Today my thoughts are with my friend and special prayers for Linda as she endures this tragic memory. At some point, we will smile when we think of Janis and our good time with her growing up. But today, I reflect on the loss... and will never forget my friend. xoxoxo

Janis was a kind, friendly, special person, always smiling, no matter what. We met at work and ended up working together for several years. We became good friends. We both liked to dance, downhill ski, and liked dogs. For one of my birthdays, she gave me a quilt that she had made. I cherish that quilt. I often think of Janis and miss her. She was one special person that will always be remembered.

I only met her once as she was going to visit her dad in the nursing home. She was very sweet. Even though I didn't know her well, I think of her often. I can only wish and pray that she is at peace.

Janis was my great aunt also. I never met her, but I think about her all the time.

Janis was my aunt. She was the most caring person that I knew. She taught me a lot, like line dancing and being independent. We had a lot in common, like being left handed, so at dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas we would have to sit next to each other so we didnt bump arms with anyone else. I miss that the most. I love and miss her very much. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her.

She was my great aunt. I never got to meet her, but i'm terribly sad she had to go that way.

I am sorry for what has happened to Natalie. On 9-11 my school team did a memorial for the people who died that day and I had the honor to wear Natalie's name.

We knew Natalie from Line Dancing at the Salem Moose Lodge in MA. We knew her as Jan. We miss seeing her smile and having fun. She enjoyed line dancing alot and was always helpful with others who were learning new dances. She will never be forgotten. She is missed by many and often in our thoughts. I'm sure she would like us to enjoy life as she did.  For all of you who read this, think seriously of the lyrics to Lee Ann Womack's song I hope you Dance because Jan would probably dedicate it to us if she could. Miss you alot.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
