Nereida was like a sister to me. We had the same birthday, month,day,and year. We both went to the same school Ps 20. She was inall of my classes she was a very bright girl.ill miss her dearly. Nereida I know ill see you in heaven. Love always carlos Rolph.

I worked with Nereida at Gulf Insurance Co on Broad Street and we would often talk about our daughters as they were close in age, about two years apart. She was a special person caring and loving and she lived her life for her daughter Lauren. She left us to soon and is in my thoughts and prayers always...

My name is Maritza. Back then my last name was Perez. Today it is Higuera. I worked with Nereida and saw her everyday for 5 years. We worked at Travelers insurance company at Greenwich village, then at Gulf insurance company on Broad Street right before she left for her new job at the trade center. We were close. We talked about her hard times with Lauren's dad. Lauren however is what she lived for. She loved her and every decision she made was for the wellbeing of her baby girl. I had the privilege of knowing 1st hand that Nereida accepted Christ in her life. Those who have done the same will see her in heaven when the trumpet sounds. Nereida was a loving, genuine and kind person. I miss her to this day. I would love to see a photo of Lauren. Lauren, I know you will not remember me as you were a baby. I however do remember you with your curls. Hope life has been good for you. God bless you.

I know this a little late, but I need to write this. Mom, it's hard for me to believe you have been gone for eight years. Life has been hard, but I knew you were always there when I needed you. I can't even imagine that it will be eight years since that tragic day. I always see your face in my memory. I will never forget you or your family. The other day Neima told me that she found some pictures of us in Chinatown. We always had the best of times. I will forever cherish all the good times.

My dearest Nereida, I can't believe that 7 years have gone by so fast. The last time we spoke was 09-10-2001, the evening before you left our world. Unfortunately 9-11 came and you where taken from us. Today I ask God to take care of you and to make you an angel so you can watch over Lauren. She is so beautiful and she looks so much like you. I worked with Nereida at the job she held before she went to work at Aon. She was a very sweet person and always seemed to have a smile on her face. She constantly talked about her little girl. She loved her so much. Nereida, you will always be missed. You were definitely taken away much to soon.

I always thought you were a great person. We met at my husband Fred's birthday party. You were expecting Lauren; you seemed so happy with Mike, then before I knew it we were attending Lauren's 1st Birthday. WOW! Titi, I hope you know how much you meant to this family. Whenever I would see you, you were always the one to make me laugh.
