With each passing year, I do think of you and wonder how you're doing. I just happened to come across this site and just had to say that you are not alone. There are so many of us that do miss Nick, and we care for you, too. My father especially. I can only hope that you can find some comfort in knowing this, and please believe that Nick is watching over you and loving you just as much as you do him.

Hi, Patrice!

Just wanted to stop by and say "hi" to you and Nick and let you know I still think of you both and let you know we will never forget you. Take care, and God Bless.

So hard to realize that it has been 6 years! (It seems like yesterday.) While the pain is still there--some days worse than others--but what a wonderful legacy Nick left that he is still so loved by so many people. I love you, sweet prince.

Next week is the week Nick loved the most--Saratoga--golf in the am, track and great dinners in the pm.  Nick always said he loved this week the most as we did everything we loved--but it was sad, too, as it meant the end of summer.  Perhaps one day I will be able to go back up there ... not yet.

Dear Uncle Nick,

We all love and miss you. I have 2 kids now, Joseph and Gianna. Sorry they will never get to meet you. We think of you often.

Your niece,

Hi Patrice,

I was thinking about you and your Nick and just wanted to stop by and say hi and that I hope you're getting along okay. I know it was just his birthday, and that is a hard one. If you ever want to write, or rant, or whatever, I'll listen. Take care of yourself, Patice, and God Bless!

Tomorrow, Valentine's Day is also Nick's Birthday! I think what we would be doing and how he would say, "It's my birthday--not a Hallmark day"--He was such a loving person, everyone that met him, loved him--How he is missed every hour of every day! Happy Birthday, sweet prince. Love, Patrice

SuperBowl Sunday--how Nick loved this event! He would be cheering for "da Bears" and we would be with his friends for this event--how Nick loved his football season! Love Always, Patrice

Very tough times--moving Nick's things--sorting through pictures and papers--so many wonderful memories--how much Nick is missed every moment of every day. During this Christmas season (which Nick personally hated!) it would be nice to have a nice dream of him as my Christmas gift.

I was looking over a box of some old items and found my ID from my last World Trade visit in late 2000 and thought of you and Nick.

Hope all is well!

Killer weekend--so many memories and flashbacks--Nick in Puerto Rico, golfing at Pebble Beach and Kings Mill and Sawgrass--We would be heading there now for our annual trip--so tough to be without him--laughing and so excited about his football and golf--

Much love,

Thanksgiving, 2006--Nick's favorite holiday  Seems as if it was just yesterday Nick would be up early--cooking the turkey and yams--getting ready to watch the games--How I miss him so much every day. Love, always, Patrice

Mr. Massa,
I laid a bouquet of flowers in your honor at the Arizona 911 Memorial today. Although I never met you I have been touched deeply by your passing and I pray for Patrice and your family daily. May God hold you in His arms and offer peace to your loved ones. The nation will never forget any of you, I promise!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
