I went to middle school with Nicole at Steinbeck. She was a friend of mine. I remember her being so shy and quite but very sweet. One year I especially remember her coming back fron summer vacation without her glasses but with contacts and a new hairdo. I remember thinking that she looked beautiful in her new look and her condidence level skyrocked! It was truly an honor to know her and she will forever hold a special memory in my heart.

May god bless all the victiums that were affected by this tradgey and to all those that are still suffering. Thank you to all the heroes that risked their own lives to help out another. We will never forget you!

The bittersweet day that is today only brings to memory the tremendous hole that has been left in the lives of so many family members. I love you, David and Kat, and Nicole will always be in my heart.

Though we only went camping together and had lake days, you were always a special person. I can remember floating around on the inner-tube and you, Josh, Clint, and I talking and just being young kids. I remember September 11th like it were yesterday.... I was a young mom with a husband in the Air Force (at that time). I got the call that everyone was on alert, and we were told it was not sure when we would see each other again. I watched the TV for hours, days, weeks ... just trying to grasp it all. I remember seeing your name, Nicole, and thinking ... "No way. That is not sweet Nicole." There is not a day that I do not see our country's flag and think of you ... and all your emotions that you must have had, your close family's emotions. You were an amazing person.... I know we all miss you, but we are happy to have such great memories.

Love,
Your lake friend

I am working on a very emotionally hard paper in school about the events leading up to 9/11 and the events that would proceed from it. I found this website while doing my research.

I never knew Nichole Miller, but I and my fellow employees of the Santa Cruz Chili's rallied together and worked in San Jose for the staff so that they could go to the funeral. A lot of the funeral party had gathered together that morning prior to the opening. The sadness in their hearts and the looks on their faces sent a chill down my spine, and I was barely able to hold myself together.

To the family and friends of Nichole, I am very sorry, and my heart goes out to you.

Nicole,

You were in my thoughts and prayers on this ninth anniversary. As each anniversary comes and goes, the raw emotions of that day still remain. Thank you for all you did that day. <3

My friend Chris Koontz told me about this gal when I was visiting from Long Beach. I decided to visit this page in honor of her.

I did not know of Nicole until today when I ran a 5K in honor of the victims of that fateful day. I wore a card pinned to my shirt with her name on it! What a beautiful girl who's life was cut short. God bless her and her family.

My prayers are with you, Nicole, and your family and friends. You sound like you were a lovely young lady. I'm sorry you were on that flight that day. I will remember you and the others forever.

I didn't know Nicole, but I worked with Chili's when this all happened. It sent a shockwave through our company, that someone so young could be struck by such a terrible thing. I pray her family is only surrounded by the happy memories of her.

I worked with Nicole at Chilli's Blossom Hill. Though we were only co-workers, I have two memories that will forever be ingrained into my memory: Working my last shift with her, and watching her play at the annual softball tournament. May you rest in peace, and may God be with your family as we all remember you today....

In July I visited family in PA... they live just over the hill from the field your flight went down in. I went to the memorial site and memorial chapel a few times... they are both lovely tributes. I left a beautiful dozen of red roses near your Freedom Angel and said a prayer for you and your family.
Being at the site made my heart hurt but I saw something extraordinary fluttering near the American Flag that stands in the middle of the field... a butterfly. What a sign that your beautiful soul was present. I know your family misses you terribly. Thank you for your unselfish act... you're one of my heroes.
We Will Always Remember...

I find myself thinking about 9/11 a lot the past couple days.... I found your beautiful tribute site.... Your family loves you so much. I experienced 9/11 at 14, a freshman in high school. I'm 21 now, the same age you were when you passed, and I sit here thinking about all I want to do with my life and how 21 is so young.

I am so sorry for what you and the other passengers had to go through on that day. You all were taken too soon, and while it was extremely unfair, your heroic actions will never be forgotten. You live on in our hearts and memories forever. Now you're in a better place, and I hope your family gets some peace in knowing that. Nicole, God bless you, and thank you.

I had to do a project on 9-11 victims, and something just made me wanna do Nicole Miller. She was so young and so pretty, and it's so sad the way she died. It just makes me wanna cry. =[

I am stopping by to celebrate your life, Nicole, on this very special day. You are a true American hero as well as your fellow Americans up there that too are celebrating.

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
