Rest in peace. I cannot begin to imagine how horrible it was for you.

Best regards from Denmark

Today I woke up feeling sad. Every time 9/11 comes around, everything becomes so vivid in my mind, and no matter what is going on or what is happening, it seems like America just stops, and everybody becomes one for a moment.

I started looking at this documentary called "The Falling Man," and that is how I came across Mr. Hernandez's story. Seeing his BEAUTIFUL family, I cried and I also smiled. I don't know anything about him besides what I've heard and seen looking at TV, but I can tell that he was a very good, loving person and good cook. Everyone that has seen this and visited this web site all feel in some way we have come to know Mr. Hernandez. Your father, uncle, husband,
etc. means so much to this world and represents what so many were thinking and contemplating that day.

Everyone who lost their lives that day are missed so much. I'm so sorry that things ended this way. But I THANK YOU for allowing us to hear what a great man he was. That day will never be forgotten, everyone who lost their lives that day will always be missed.

Just watched a program on Norberto. I have never met him. But I wish I could have. The pain I feel from watching the video terrifies me. I have never lost a loved one so close, and in such a way. I am so so sorry to what happened to the Hernandes family on that horrifying day. Watching this video makes me fear for what might happen in the future. I wish I could meet your family. My love and thoughts go to you. And I pray that your family will live on and keep in your hearts knowing your dad, husband, son, cousin, brother, uncle, and grandfather has moved on to heaven and is happy now. Many sorrows to you and your family I'm sorry.

God bless Norberto. He never should have had to do what he did. He should still be alive. He did not deserve to die the way he did.

I have three girls like Norberto does. I could only imagine what he was going through. I have no doubt that he loved his daughters and wife more than life itself. Rest in Peace, Norberto.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. I can never understand the pain and suffering you guys went through. It is the day before 9/11 and I just watched many many video reports on this tragic day. I was still very young when this happened but being older now this has touched me in many ways. I now have a more open mind and heart because of your family's story. I have nothing but respect to give to this family. I hope tomorrow that you guys will make it through. I know it will be hard. I am so sorry. I wish nothing but the best for the Hernandez family. My love and thoughts go out to you.

You were one of the greatest pastry chefs I'd ever had the honor to work with.... We miss you so.

God Bless Norberto and his family. We were all changed on that day. Let's remember to hug and kiss our families just a little more than usual, and remember the day when so many lost their lives.

Such a tragedy! I was only young when the towers got hit, but I remember that day so clearly. It was so unfair! America didn't deserve this, and this poor man, Noberto, well, I hope he is having a nice new long life in heaven. May god bless him, a true hero, as well as the rest of the 9-11 victims! xxx

To the family of Norberto Hernandez (with a "hello" to everyone else):

I saw a little story about this man on a TV channel yesterday evening. In my opinion, he is the greatest symbol of what happened on that sad day. Since I saw his picture on that story a few years ago, I´ve been so sad about what happened to all the victims. Yesterday evening I had that same bad, sad feeling. Yes, the sad feelings are still the same. And the sad feelings are still strong, so much so that I would like to cry. My prayers are with his family.

Noberto, we will never forget you. May you rest in peace.

Nicole Ludwig, from Burgwedel in Germany.

  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
