THINKING ABOUT YOU YESTERDAY ON THE D10TH ANNIVERSARY

RIP PATRICK HOPE YOU TIMMY ARE HAVIGN FUN UP THERE

*** Posted by Alison Bristol Spears on 2011-09-12 ***

i went to preschool with sean, he was one of my best friends. the flag in front of the building is dedicated to patrick sean murphy, his amazing dad. I met him a few times, and I could just tell that him and sean and maggie were so close. I always think of their family and I know that patrick will never be forgotten

Hey -- my "Pat Twin" from UVA -- our short shagged blacked doo's made us a match, as did our names, as did our "northern" ancestry at the University of Virginia. While we both moved to Manhattan and made our ways after graduation, we lost touch -- occasionally bumping into each other on Columbus Ave for a brief chat. A year after the terrorist strikes on the World Trade Center, I opened the NYT tribute to those who lost their lives -- and off the pages, your face, so much like my own, smiled at me, while my heart sank. I think of you often to this day, and of your family. Pat, you are a man of grace, charm, calm intelligence, sweet dignity. I'm so sad to think of your families' loss, and of missing bumping into you on Columbus Ave.

I met Patrick and was a close friend of his brother Tim in California in the mid-1980s. How unfair it is that this family has so suffered in this life. Bless the Murphy family. 6-12-2007

Just was thinking of you Patrick on this day 7 yrs ago, rest in peace

Alison Bristol and family

I just found all these websites for Patrick and every year for the past 5 years I light a candle for Patrick. My family and I knew patrick and the murphy family when they lived in Milford CT. Partick would come to all of our birthday parties and his brother Timmy he has passed away would do magic tricks.

My parents are Gayanne and Charlie Bristol we were very close to the family before the moved to Princeton

I am now a mother and my sons ask me why do I light a candle for him and I say because it is a very sad thing when you know someone that died that day and 5 yrs ago they were younger and they said could we light another candle of all that died that day so 5 yrs later we still light the candles one of Patrick and one of the others and they are teenagers and they remind me every year

I just want vera and her children Lori Tom Lori Jean and Tommy that the Bristol family always prayers of you

God Bless

Alison Bristol Spears

My brother Kevin and I were friends of Patrick when we grew up in Princeton Junction. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to write.

Patrick was a smart and funny guy and who loved to laugh and have a great time.

I saw his name today on the fifth anniversery and it hit me really hard that he had died.

God bless you, you're children, and your entire family and keep looking for Patrick's spirit in your lives, because I know that he will always be there with you.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
