my name is Brian Keating from Cork, Ireland. Watching yesterdays ceremony I only realised that someone with the same surname as ourselves had perished on that awful day.i imagine Paul was a wonderful person and all of our thoughts are with you. May god bless you. From all of the Keating family in Cork

I never met, and I am sure I never will meet, anyone who has touched my heart the way Paulie did.... I think about you often, about what we had, what could've been ... and I am saddened that someone so perfect could be deprived of a life so deserving of the love and happiness that was waiting for you. I miss you, Paulie, and I am so sorry—so, so sorry.

I remember the vigil on the beach in front of Paulie's sister's home and the Keating children's family home a little ways down, a day or so after 9/11. I did not know Paulie as well as his brother Jeff. (Love you, Jeff, and think about you often!) But that evening on the beach was one of the most memorable and life-changing events of my entire life. I wept like a child, uncontrollably, and was embraced by strangers. With a picture of Paulie in my hands, not knowing yet whether he was still on this earth or not. I cried for Paulie, Teddy Brennan, and all the other souls that lost their lives that day. I remember the day that Paulie's remains were found just outside the door of one of the buildings, and I remember being privileged to read this incredibly moving letter to the Keating clan from the chaplain on the Trade Center site that day. How proud I felt and continue to feel every day when I think about everyone who lost their lives so tragically and unexpectedly that day. The love and support on that Spring Lake beach that evening was so incredible, I just will never forget.... Continuing love and gratitude to Paul.

My dad, Paul Andrew Keating, missed that plane that day, and I'm glad, or else he would be on the victims list. He is just like Paul Hanlon Keating, and it is sad he went. Sorry for your loss.
xx,
Holly

Paul was a friend who made me laugh so much every time I was with him...I will never forget him and what a crazy person he was. We loved the same music and just always had a really great time together. I really wish he were still here with us. At least he was doing what he wanted to do and living in NYC the greatest city in the world...that is where he wanted to live and I am glad he was doing what made him happy. xoxoxox to you forever Paulie/Ladder 5

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
