Dear Lula T and Family,
We met Perry back in 1992 when he and family lived over us at the Hampton Club in New Brunswick, NJ. We really loved him for who he was: dedicated husband, father, warm and compassionate individual with a smile "brighter" than the noonday sun :-). We certain miss him. We were going to have him take photos of our son and daughter but never connected again. Last s/w Charlette 9/13/11 approx date. May the Blessing of the Lord be upon You and your family. Dear Perry,
It has been ten years ever since you have passed away, but as you know--as well as everyone else--you are gone, but never forgotten. You watched me grow up as a kid, and I am thankful to have had such a blessing in my life. Each year, my family and I continue to remember the tragic loss of such a great friend, a great father, and a great person. My deepest condolences, to your family and friends, and to your beautiful daughters. Rest in peace, Perry.

Perry Anthony Thompson ~ I am a 1st grade teacher in little Wills Point, Texas. Our high school sponsored a prayer effort for you and others. I am honored and touched to wear your name and pray for your family! You, your girls, and your family have been in my prayers every morning, night, and during my school day. I have worn this bracelet with honor. Coincidentally, we are the same age. Reading the posts from your family and friends, I feel honored to post in their presence. My husband, the barber in town, will be praying for you and your sweet, sweet family also. To God be the glory, great things (through you) He hath done! Peace be with you, dignity, and honor! I am thinking about your family through this 10th anniversary weekend. You are not forgotten and will be forever etched on my heart Perry Anthony Thompson!

Hello Lisa, I knew Perry because I was Editorial Director of Ashley Communications, Inc. We did numerous celebrity publications and I often bought his photos for the magazines. I loved talking to him about our industry. Perry was so talented and I miss his friendship. Debi Fee

Perry, I can not put into words how much you are missed. It is sad what happened with Charlete and Robert. I am happy to say that your girls are in in good home now and doing well. It was wonderful how your brother and sister and law stepped in to take good care of them. Love you always and miss you a lot!

Perry, you are truly missed by all. Mike and I feel your presence on a daily basis. Your daughters are doing wonderful, we are raising them to the best of our abilities. Ashley just turned 17 in March and is looking forward to attending college next fall. It is funny how she looks so much like you. She loves you so much and misses you tremendously! Chelsea just 13 this April and she is so smart just like you. She is on the honor roll and is always striving to do better. They are both a pleasure to have in our home. I know you are smiling on them each day and I hope and pray that you approve of the way we are raising them. You have a new niece, her name is Aliyah. She is a year old now, we miss your passion for picture taking and your laughter and all the jokes you had. Words can not express how much you are missed. I feel your daughters will do great things in this world and we will push them and be with them until they reach their desired goal! Love always, your brother Mike and sister n law Sharon!

I was thinking about you today and was compelled to visit this memorial site in your honor. The girls are doing very well. Ashley just passed a birthday. She turned 17. Isn't it funny how time flies? She will be in college next fall. Chelsea is very smart and does very well in school. She is blossoming into a beautiful young lady. My son is getting ready to turn ten in another week. I remember how supportive you were when everyone found out I was pregnant. Thank you. I graduated college, Rutgers University, which is the same school Ashley wants to attend. Now I am on my way to an MBA degree, and I am moving to Charlotte, right near Lisa, to start my career. My mom and dad are doing well. Tanesha just had a little girl, Aliyah, who is giving us so much joy. Grandmom is doing well in Lumberton. I will be near her and can visit often. As I said, I was just thinking of you and wanted to see your picture. Smile on Chelsea and Ashley, as I know you already do. We all miss you very much.
With Much Love,
Your niece, Tyesha T

Dear daddy,
I miss you so much. You have been a great father to me all your life. I will cherish your memories forever in life. Things would have gone better in life if you were here. You are the best father any little girl could have. You were smart and very talented, and you cared about everyone in your family. You are the best photographer that I know of. You were a funny person and very responsible. I will miss you so much, and I will always love you. We will all miss you.

Dear Daddy,
It's been 9 years since you've been gone. I miss you sooo much. I think about you all the time, through the good times and bad times. I know your spirit is looking over us to see if we are okay. And now that I'm 16, I understand more, but dad, it's just not the same without you. It's not fair. I always ask why? Why did you have to go? Why did so many other people have to go that Tuesday? I wish you could be here for my graduation next year, and Chelsea's graduation, but I know you'll be up there in heaven, just smiling. We love you dad, and we miss you.

[When I saw his photo, I cried, even though I did not know him personally, he died on September 11 when he was the same age as I am now, he was a simple person like me, an honest worker, a good father to his family and a good Christian like I also try to be, a common person like there are many but hero and victim in a war that has swept us all up without warning]

Daddy,
Even though you are in a better place now, I will always miss you.I will miss the traditions we had together, the laughs, and even the vacations we went on together. I will always remember you. We miss you.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
