To the family of Peter Alderman,

I’m sorry for your loss of Peter. My name is Cheyenne; I’m a student at Mountain View High School in Wyoming. I’m sitting in my English class, completing a project about finding a person on the computer that we can relate to. Before we started this project, we read some of the stories on the people in the World Trade Center on 9-11. While researching about some of the people, I found a story about Peter Alderman. When I began to read his story, I thought that he was a good man with a loving family that he was going to make it home to. Then I read about where the plane had hit, then all that I had thought would happen turned into a nightmare. I wish he could have returned to his loved ones. I also hope that Peter will live in your memories forever.

I took a photo and noticed a photo of Peter.... I just wanted to let you know that Peter will forever live in the hearts of every American.

Thank you,
Danny

My deepest sympathy to Peter's family and loved ones.

I was looking up bios of family members when Peter's name came up as a World Trade Center victim. I have a second cousin named Peter Alderman, so I immediately looked for more info.

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss and pain. I hope you know the God of the universe and that "there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body," (1 Corinthians 15:43) and "he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting" (Galatians 6:8).

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort you.

I didn't know Peter Alderman. I visited the Ground Zero site from the UK about 9 months after 9/11. Peter's picture was on the railings around St Paul's, I took a photograph of his picture and the other lost around him. Now nearly two years on I know that Peter was at a meeting in the Window to the World at the top of the North Tower. I know his Mom's name is Liz, I have connected with Peter's life in a small way, but strangely doing this, humanizing this tragedy has somehow bought me a peace, a kind of closure to that terrible event.

I learned what I know about Peter from searching for his name online. And although I never knew him personally, I now know that the name of the person in my picture is Peter Craig Alderman, and that I will remember.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
