Dear Kristina and family,
My name is Billie Taylor Sherrell. I want you to know,,I wanted to post my Poem called "Lady Liberty' on all of the FDNY but I did not know how to copy and paste. I have limited ability. I had a lady contact me asking for my poem "Lady Liberty" to sign over all rights to her and some man so they could write a book about your dad. I am a poetry writer for God. I only write when God he puts it in my heart. I asked this lady where would the money go to and she never replied. I wanted to make sure it went to our firemen and their families if I let her use it. I asked Vinny Petrocelle on BravestMemorial.com which is a site for all of the FDNY. I sure wanted all the fire dept to know God was with them on that day for sure. I am slow on this computer. I want you and all your family and friends to know he is real and he is with you now. He is an awesome God. I know how it feels to loose your loved one. This is what I sent to all my friends and asked them to forward them to theirs.
NYFD Five Years Later 9/11/06
The NYFD were faced with the most horrific task upon them on 9/11/01. 5 Years Ago our hearts were torn with total disbelief and rage from the Radical Extremist Muslims who decided to steal away our loved ones for no other reason except pure ignorance and jealousy of who we are as Americans. Never in my lifetime have I ever seen such loyalty to our country till then. Sadly all nationalities died in this cowardly act of hate, not just Americans!
We will always be United with God and our Country. I still however feel the same as if it just happened today. I will never forget it nor will I ever take anything for granted. No one could possible ever forget it, either.
This was the day that so many lives and innocents were lost. I felt so secure until then. Our innocents was drained away on this day. I would like to thank all who gave so much and those who gave their all. The job that was before them over come them with loyalty, hope, and Gods love for all his children. God made all of the NYFD Hero’s forever. Our great NYFD gave their all. I felt my prayers and knew they were all in God’s hands. I will always pray for them and those that were left behind. How wonderful it is to know we have such wonderful faithful servants to our fellow man and God. There will never be a stronger movement than the love that America showed on 9/11/01 and afterwards. God bless you all and those who remain.
We will always recognize the NYFD as Heroes and we will never forget!
Sincerely,
Billie Taylor Sherrell

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
