Hi Paul:
My prayers go out to you and your family. Your wife truly is a hero and from reading some of the messages left here, she sounded like a wonderful woman. May God Bless you and your family always...

I did not know Renee, however I was born and raised in Cranston, RI. When I go home to visit family, I pass by the memorial plaque across from Aqueduct Field and think of that horrific day. I wanted to honor her memory on this day of remembrance. I am not a religious person, but I have faith that Renee is being cared for with loving hands and a loving heart. Rest in peace.

I did not know Renee but we worked for the same company (AA) and I just wanted to stop by and let her family and friends know she is not forgotten by the AA family.

My name is Marti Monteiro, Renee and I both worked for American Airlines together. She was a great friend, co-worker, and mom. I still remember her favorite nailpolish by OPI "Not a waitress anymore" and the many laughs we had working early mornings. I am blessed to have known her. She was a great woman.

Hi. My name is Ashley Volpe, and I'm 16 years old. A long time ago when 9-11 first happened, I was in 5th grade and went to a catholic school. We each were assigned someone who died on 9-11 and had to pray for them every day. The person that I got was Renea Newell, and that's why I'm writing this. I just want her and her family to know that still to this day I pray for her every night. I've been trying to contact her family just to say that I care a lot. God bless Renea and her family! <3

Paul and Matthew are in my thoughts and prayers, as is Renee. She will always be a hero. Be strong. God is with you.

After watching the 2004 WTC memorial this morning, I rmembered the name "Renee" that suddenly came into my mind the day after 9/11. I was at church and asked God to take care of the victims and the name Renee came into my mind and wouldn't go away.  I knew she was on the Pennsylvania flight.  Sure enough, I looked into the passenger list and found her name.  She became my personal "angel".  I have thought of her often and always wanted to se her.  I finally saw her picture today.  God bless her.  She sounds like a lovely person.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
