Ten years ago I stood in my living room 8 months pregnant in shock. I remember some time later hearing your name..... a HERO you are! I never knew you but think of you often.....my son Zachary Allen is 10! God bless your family and Thank you Richard Allen for giving your life to save others. The Hero my son talks about every year on his birthday.....you will never be forgotten!

This young man, the youngest victim on the ground to perish (18 years of age) was a real hero. A trained paramedic who would not leave when his boss instructed him to do so. He saved many lives, and died a hero. May you rest in peace Richard. I was told you were always helping others, now you are helping others in heaven.

Richard,
Wherever you are and in whatever you are doing, I am forever blessed to have known you and have always felt this way even before 11 September 2001. I know you are resting peacefully. Souls like yours, while at rest, never stop shining.... I never stop believing that you are here amongst and within us! God bless you, my friend!

I had known Richard Perelman for some time from Troop 106 in Queens. He was a funny character and a gentle soul. He was always coming to scout meets with a smile. He volunteered for an ambulance corp.
You are in my heart forever as a good friend. Miss you, Rich!

Richard,
I lived around the block from you and saw you a few times and spoke to you. WOW! What an inspiration you were! And now your legacy will be remembered by so many and forever. The main thing I knew about you was your passion for helping people. I remember, when you were young, how your wanted to help Lindenwood security. Then you joined the volunteer EMS, and you selflessly and heroically gave your life for what you were put on this Earth for—to help people. You are a famous hero in my heart, and I will never forget you. God bless you.

Richard, you were a giving person who helped anyone that needed it. You were growing to have very fine qualities in you. Your grandparents would have been so proud of you. I'm sure wherever you are, you are helping someone.

I didn't know you personally, but you were a dear friend of one of my closest friends. I hope you know how much you mean to him, and subsequently to those in his life.

Richard, the last time I saw you we were in the fourth grade together in P.S. 272. You were a great kid then and you blossomed into a heroic figure forever. I did not know that you were taken from all of us until recently last year on this day, I remember how you always used to be so kind to me when no one else was. A person like you is like a rare gem, may more people have the heart you have. You will always remain alive in all of our hearts.
We miss you,
Jennifer your old classmate

Richard,
Your life was cut WAY TOO SHORT. I'm sorry you lost your life in the WTC. I really am sorry that I didn't know you, but thank you for being a TRUE AMERICAN HERO. REST IN PEACE.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
