It's amazing, when you're a kid and you work with someone, say, at summer camp, you never imagine them dying young and especially not viciously murdered. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Robbie was my second cousin. Though I didn't know him very well, he has been in my thoughts for the past nine years. I can feel my family's pain. You can really miss someone you barely knew. His life was just beginning.

We all knew Robert, even if we have never met him. We have always been Americans. We have been attacked by those who would slay our children. We have never forgotten Robert's courage. I never will!

To the family of Robert C. McLaughlin,
I am writing to express my sympathy to you. Shortly after the terrorist attack on the WTC, I purchased a bracelet with Robert's name on it. I just want you to know that you are in my prayers. My prayers are that the Lord will give you the strength you need to get through each day and that he will supply all your needs. May the Lord bless you with His peace and His presence. God Bless you.
Sincerely,
Kim Marshall

I didn't know Mr. M that well, but when he died, he was my neighbor. I was in I think 2nd grade at the time, but I remember my mom was at their house for hours. It still hurts to think that it has been 6 years. I miss everyone who died in 9-11.

I woke today with three words in my head. "Take it back". As if I were a child talking to children, telling them, "you can't mean this. It's wrong. It's cruel. Take it back!"
It still hurts as if it were happening today.

You should be aware of a tribute project put on by internet bloggers for the fifth anniversary of 9/11. D. Challener Roe is trying to get 2,996 bloggers to each post a tribute to one victim on September 11, 2006. You can read all about it at the site 2,996. http://www.dcroe.com/2996/ I will be posting a tribute to Robert C. Mclaughlin. Although mine is normally a humor blog, I am determined to post a serious and fitting tribute. I invite family and friends to contact me at radiofox@gmail.com if you would like to discuss what I should post. I especially would appreciate input like stories, photos, or whatever you would like included. Thank you.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
