You will always be in my memories of the "best of times"
during my youth as you and Margaret were our advisors of
our church youth group.  The advice you gave us teens so
long ago, will always be treasured.  Every 9/11 my thoughts will be of you and how you shared your time with
us all. I know heaven is a better place because you are
there.    Weymouth, Ma

To a very special man, who touched so many young lives! You are never forgotten.

Bob, we just found this site. We have been to "Ground Zero" twice and plan on going again next fall to see the new memorial with your name and Jackies. You and Margaret were advisors for our church youth group, because of your influence we did the same at our church. You were great neigbors and friends. Thank you for being in our wedding and visiting us several times in Minnesota. You were a great care giver to your mom and Margaret during their time of need. When you lost them we were so happy that you had another chance for happiness with Jackie. We will never forget you.

Bob, I remember you from the years you lived in Weymouth,Ma when you were my neighbor, friend, fellow church member and leader of the youth group there. You were a wonderful person. On Sundays I often sing from the hymnal my husband and I dedicated to your memory. I think of you often and light a candle each year in church in your memory. Rest in peace. Mary C.

As someone who was very close to my grandparents, I could not have imagine losing my grandfather in such a horrible way.

My prayers are with his family, friends and all loved ones, and may his soul be at peace.

I chose your name at church today on the 10th anniversary of remembering 9-11. We are asked to pray for the person and their families. I chose your name because of your age and I am currently dealing with my elderly father. I am glad that your life was such that you were still active and able to travel up to the end. Joy now to you in the better place where you are.

I know that this tragedy occurred over eight years ago, but how could someone forget about such a terrible event, when over 3000 lives were lost. Innocent people, who were just going about their lives, ended up dying. These people are true heroes. I honor them in my heart and soul. Nothing can replace these wonderful people, only but their memories. May they rest in peace, and may God bless them, since they blessed us by dying for our country. May God bless those exceptional angels.

Uncle Bobby is the name I always called you. I was absolutely stunned and saddened on that tragic day of September 11, 2001. I still find it difficult, at best, to realize you have passed. You were a good part of our lives, and we do miss you so very much. I remember when we were children, asking you what the word "destiny" meant. I guess life has gone full circle, and you are back at that final point. How could any of us have ever known what a tragic ending it would be? You, and our wonderful memories of you, will live on. I know you have passed on to heaven. See you there one day.

Your niece,
Susan

Dear Uncle Bob,

I just found this site and wanted to post something.... First of all, I still miss you and always will. You were a very special man and helped so many people in your lifetime ... little children, single moms, elderly people, and most anyone who crossed your path in life. I spent my childhood waiting for your visits to Lubec and absolutely loved spending Xmas with you. You always had a big smile on your face and a twinkle of love in your eyes. You made my childhood extra special and did the same for me as a grown woman and mom. Thank you for everything you did in my life. I know you are in a better place and look forward to seeing you there one day.

Luv you ... xo

I am sorry that no-one has left a message here for you. Maybe it is because all your contemporaries would not be able to use a computer and post a message. I have therefore posted one for them. It seems so sad to live such a long life and to die in such a tragic way along side other innocent victims. tomorrow in my school assembly when I talk about innocent victims of terror I will mention your name and how you died so that like others on the website you will be remembered. May god bless and keep you safe.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
