Robert was a good person. We went to elementary school together and I will always remember him as a kind and caring person.

While I did not know Robert, I went to school with his mother Arlene, and I wanted to express my sympathy to her, his father, siblings, wife and children.
It is so difficult to lose one you love and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family, that they can find some peace knowing he did the best he could at his job and his sacrifice is appreciated by all that were saved that day. May he rest in peace.

Growing up in Ridgewood and on Forest Ave I lived on the same street as the Hamilton Family. Back then I was good friends with John Hamilton and we played each day for hours and hours also without a care in the world. Robert would sometimes come by and say hi to us but he was always the big brother going off to play sports or hang out with the older kids. He was always kind and friendly and I know he continually is missed by all. As we come upon the 8th anniversary of 9/11 I pray that his family are doing well and know that we are thinking of you all at this time.

My sisters and I went to Catholic school (Our Lady of Miraculous Medal LOMM) in Ridgewood NY with Barbara, Mary, John and Robert Hamilton. Back then life was simple, and we ran around that school yard like we did not have a care in the world. I wish I could turn the clock back to that time and let you all see Robert. I am sure that heaven received a new angel on September 11th.

I think of Bobby very often. He was a good man and a good friend. Bob's family should be proud to know that he is thought of often and is missed by a great number of people.

I am proud to say that I am a firefighter, and although I did not know Robert, firefighting is a brotherhood and we all lost a brother that day.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
