My heartfelt tears go out to Bob Sr. and Pat-I am thinking of of Bob Jr.-- I know as a parent the pain and memory never leave us. Both of you have been and always will be in my prayers. Blessings, Jim Donohue

On this 10th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, my thoughts and prayers are with Robert Horohoe,Jr. and his surviving relatives. We will never forget.

Dear Horohoe Family,

My husband Don and I particpated in the 911 First Responders 10th Anniversary ride from Shanksville to the Pentagon and on to NYC on August 18-21, 2011.

We were given 2 cards for a life lost in 911. Your Robert was one of the cards we received.

I cannot begin to tell you the heartfelt patriotism and rememberence we experinece on our ride in small towns along our journey. We were most proud of the welcome we received in our hometown of Leesburg, Va, where the 911 First Responders organization started.

We shed tears along the way as did the people standing on the streets witnessing 2,800 motorcycles passing by. Flags were waived, bands played, local fire and police proudly beaming as we recognized these brave people who stand in harms way everyday to protect us.

I thought often of Robert on our journey and wanted you to know he was remembered with love as he traveled with us and we witnessed the beauty of people remembering who have not forgotten the fallen.

May peace be with you,
Diana and Don Richards

Living next door to Rob when we were freshman in college gave me the opportunity to become good friends with him. He was humorous and kind and is truly missed by all that knew him.

For anyone who reads this, so many years have passed, and the pain has not. Pray for us, Robert, as we will never, ever forget you. God's blessings on your father, mother, and extended family, especially the lady you were to marry.

Bob, Pat, Donna, Trish, and Michael,

I can't begin to tell you how sad I am at the loss of your son and brother Robert. Although I hadn't seen him since he was nine years old, I very clearly remember him as a bright, funny, charming, happy little kid. I only wish I knew him as an adult. Even now, five years later, I feel your pain, but I know Robert is at peace with the Lord and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With my Love,
Frank

On this very somber day we remember your brother Robert and what he meant to you. He will always live in your heart- always thirty one.

Robert Horohoe was a kind and funny man. I will always be proud to call you my little brother. Always 31.

Love,

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
