Ron, I only met you briefly many years ago. You were thought so highly of by my family living next door to Friendship. On this anniversary your spirit will be remembered by us all. God Bless Your spirit in Heaven.

I have not had the honor of knowing Ronnie Gies until I found this web sight. I have been wearing a wrist band since 9-11 with his name on it. Only taking it off when the towers have been cleared and during the anniv. If the family would like my band it would be an honor to send it to them

Ronnie,
I only ever knew you through your friends, family, and brothers. However, I carried your name up 110 stories of stairs at FDIC this year during the 9-11 Memorial. I'll continue to carry your name during fund-raising events and memorials. Rest easy, brother.

Uncle Ronnie, I miss you. I miss coming home from school everyday and looking forward to you watching me. You would always make me feel good about things. I was 4 then and now I am 12. I wish you were there to see me grow up. You are always in my heart and it is not possible for a human being to forget a person like you. I miss you so much. I love you uncle Ronnie. I will always love you

Ronnie,
You were my cousin, and even though I hadn't seen you since we were kids, I personally felt your loss. Your grandmother Dotty and my grandfather Nick were brother and sister. I will always honor you, your family, and your sacrifice. When I visit your memorial at Holy Rood, I will leave a stone and a prayer. God bless.

Even though Ronnie was my uncle I still didn't know him very well because I was so young but I will always remember him.

My dad was with Ronnie in Merrick as a firefighter when I was younger. Our friend Frankie and his father Frank Sr. still run with the Rescue and H&L company in Merrick. I want to send my prayers out to Ronnie and his family, may God watch over you and watch over NY's Bravest. Thank You for being a friend Ronnie to my dad, he sure does miss you.

You will never be forgotten, even by those of us that were never honored enough to know you personally. Your bravery is awe inspiring.

Ronnie was a wonderful father and husband as well as a great firefighter. My aunt and uncle knew the Gies family very well. My uncle was a fellow firefighter of Ronnie. My heart goes out to Carol and the boys. Ronnie, you will never be forgotten. R.I.P.

It seems as though you were very much loved by all. I did not know you, but I lost a very close friend who was a N.Y. firefighter who lost his life in the first tower. You and all the other 911 victims are in my prayers.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
