My thoughts of Rosanne are always with me - I liked her so.
She had such a cheery demeanor, always ready with a smile. I also often think of Michael and wonder what became of him. Today she is on my mind more than ever - hard to believe that her family lost her a decade ago but all of us who knew her will always have her in our hearts.

I will never forget the date, nor will I ever get the feeling in my heart that aches, because someone lost a chance to live with their families, someone grew without their special person, and my prayers are always going to those who are faced with living through this each day...stay strong everyone around the world is always praying

I knew Roseanne Michael from the east coast, and they brought me and my husband Dennis and Sue from Maui to California to be with them. I often think of Michael and how he is doing. That year I lost my husband Dennis, Roseanne, and a lot of other people dear to me. I'm trying to move back home to Brooklyn, but have not been able to find my way back since Dennis is gone as well. Michael call or write me or email Sue Stene, 14401 Hartsook St., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 Apt 109 818 788 2145 email jamaica1128 (at) gmail (dot) com. I think of you so often and have tried to find you over the years. I hope you are well.

Hi, my name is Bronwyn Sims, and I'm a friend of Donnie Lang. He was my upstairs neighbor in Jersey City, NJ. We met after the attacks on the World Trade Centers. I have never met Roseanne Lang or Brendan Lang, but I feel that I know them. Donnie told me a lot about them and about how much he missed them. What truly beautiful and wonderful people they were. I really wish I had had the opportunity to have met them! I want you to know that the grief of that day will forever be with me and my husband Patrick! I was in NYC that day, as was my husband. We both still talk often about it, still dealing with all of the difficult emotions that surface because of it. I hope that your family is doing well and can look into the light!

With love and light,
Bronwyn Sims and Patrick Donnelly

A few years ago I worked on a documentary project where Gerard Lang spoke of his sister Roseanne and his nephew Brendan. It was tough working through the tears as he spoke of them but I was inspired because my brother is a survivor of 9/11. Each year, I grapple with the emotions having had a brother who was hurt at the hands of the tragedy but he was one of the lucky ones. On this day, when I remember my brother I also keep Roaseanne, Brendan, and the entire Lang family in my thoughts and prayers.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my aunt. I miss her laugh, her smile, her advice. I miss sharing and talking about life, whether good or bad. I miss her and my cousin more than anything. I feel no closure. There's also a "what if"...? I wish this never happens again ever, to anyone, anywhere. My family needs her strength in these difficult times to help bring all of us back together. 9/11 has torn my family apart, and never in a million years would she have wanted that. I wish things could be the way they used to be, and I'm sure I'm not the only who feels this way. Love and miss you still, more than ever.

To Rosanne's family and friends,

The Healing Field in West Des Moines, Iowa was a huge success during the flying of the flags. We are honored to be the receipents of Rosanne's flag in Iowa. I picked the flag up today with tears. Rosanne will fly proud at our home.

May God bless,
Pat and Don

There is never a day that goes by that I don't think of you.  I know you are around from the scent of roses that fills the air.  You are missed so much, and as each year goes by, my memory of you strengthens.  There are so many things that each of us should be thankful for, yet sometimes we never get the chance to speak of that thanks.  Thinking of you only reminds me of how great a gift you were to all of us.  Love and Miss you very much.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
