Ten years and the ache in my heart is still there. Wish you could see our four grandsons. Zachary is 9, Matthew is 7, Samson just turned 2 yesterday, and Greyson is 3 weeks old already.
Keep watching over us.
Love, Gladys

Sammy,

On this 9th anniversary we will all be going to "The Rising" in Valhalla and then to lunch. We shall toast you with a "Stoli" and share memories of you.

My feelings haven't changed on the building of this "cultural center" so close to ground zero and have expounded many times over the last month. You know your wife when she feels strongly about something.

Watch over all of us, especially Zach, Matt, and Sammy. We often speak of Papa Sam to them.

Love,
Gladys

It was so poignant to read your birthday greeting and it brought home to me that all those who died would be almost ten years older now.God Bless all of you.

Sammy,

On this 9/11/09, another year has flown by. You are dearly missed each and every day. There are no words to express the emptiness I feel inside. Time does not heal our wounds, but we go on each and every day trying to fill our lives with meaningful things and surround ourselves with people we love.

A new baby has joined our family. On 9/10/09, at 12:47am, Samson Jay Glick came into this world, 6 lbs 12 oz and 18 1/2" long. Susy had a very long and hard delivery, sixteen hours of labor. Susy and Michael are just thrilled and very tired.
Zach and Matt are growing by leaps and bounds. Zach entered 2nd grade, and Matt started Kindergarten. David and Danielle are very happy and will celebrate #9. Keep watching over all of us.

Love,
Gladys

Sammy,

We had the baby shower for Susy on 6/28/09 at their restaurant, "Parlor Steakhouse." Everyone had a good time, and she found out about it in March, while I was in Florida. She is like me, finding out everything, LOL. I can't wait to see whether "Baby Glick" will be a boy or a girl. Susy looks soooooooo good; she is carrying like I did. Wish you were here to see your baby girl.... Michael and Susy are soo excited to become parents.

Love you and keep watching over us,
Gladys

Love you, and Happy Anniversary,
Gladys

Sammy, this makes # 7. They say, "Time heals all wounds," but it doesn't. We wish you were here with us. David and Danielle will celebrate # 8, and he is very happy teaching. Susy and Michael celebrated their first anniversary and opened their restaurant. I am sure the buttons are popping off your shirt for both our children. Zach and Matt are really great boys. They wish Papa Sam were here to play with them. Maybe next year Susy will bless us with another grandchild. Hope Dallas arrived and is following you around like old times. Keep watching over us.

Love,
Gladys

Sammy,

Exactly six years ago on a Tuesday,
Terrorists flew into the WTC and took you away.
So many things you have missed,
That can't be shared with you as we reminisced.

Zach is now five and Matt three.
Susy and Michael wed on 6/14/07, happy as can be.
David and Danielle celebrate # seven,
as I continue to be happy in my condo heaven.

You are loved and missed more each day,
as we remember you in every way.

Whenever I hear a noise at night,
I look over in bed to the right.
Thinking you just came home,
I feel safe again and not alone.

Keep watching over us and sending us signs.

Love,
Gladys

Sammy, Happy 65th birthday today. I am also celebrating Mother's day. Today I will be with Susy and Michael. Last night David, Danielle, Zach, Matt and I celebrated.

The wedding is in a month and it will be very hard without you. Our baby girl is going to be a Mrs.

Your presence is so strong, and we speak of you all the time.

Keep watching over all of us, and help with the good and bad times.

Love always,
Gladys

Sammy,
Happy 36th (12/10)
We will be adding a member to our family next year. Susy and Michael are engaged 12/12/06. Michael asked me at Thanksgiving for Susy's hand and asked David as well.
We celebrated at BB&R.

Christmas at Susy's again this year.

We miss you more each day especially now with the planning
of Susy's special day.

Keep watching over us and guiding us.

Love,
Gladys

Sammy, Another year has passed and it does not get easier.

We are going to Kensico Dam for the opening of the "Rising"
on 9/10/06. It is really a beautiful site and the Memorial is done in such good taste.

You would have been so proud of Susy last night at the opening of BB&R. They did such a beautiful job and worked very hard in a short amount of time. We had a great time and know you would have too. You probably would have invited the entire gang.

Keep watching over us.

Wish you could be here to watch the boys grow up.

Love,
Gladys

Some of us in the blogosphere are going to post a remembrance/celebration of the life of one 9/11 victim on the 5th anniversary of that tragic day. Samuel is the name I received. Just reading the information here, I can see that he was a very special person. It would mean a lot to me if a family member or friend would provide me with more information about his life and background. I assure you that all I write about your loved one will be with a spirit of respect, for him and for his survivors. You can reach me at zivainla@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Sammy, Happy 35th, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.
The holidays have come and gone and your spirit is with us in everything we do.

The boys are getting big and are so wonderful.  You would get such a kick out of them.  David keeps your memory alive in everything he does with them.

Susy cooked again on christmas, what a wonderful meal.  You would have loved everything.

We miss you and love you.

Sammy, 9/11/05 was harder this year, I thought it would get easier, but it does not!
Zach and Matt hear your name and know who PAPA SAM is and look up to the sky when your name is mentioned.
The memorial at Kensico Dam was really lovely, We left three blue balloons and two white roses along with the pink carnations they gave us.  We were very impressed with the presentation and how tastefully the stones with the names were displayed.  Our message on yours was " You will always be with us, keep watching over us.  David, Danielle, Zach, Matt, Susy, Pam and Hatch celebrated after wilth a Stoli at the head of the table for you.
We love you and miss you more than you know.  Send me a sign.
Gladys

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments.
