Thinking of our teenage years. I didn't know you well but I remember. Rest in peace, Sarah, and God Bless.

Dear Sarah,

The sun shone through your hair as we waved you off to the airport. That beautiful image is burnt forever in my memory, but it was not supposed to be the last time that I saw you. Two weeks before you left this world we were making plans for our business meeting in Thailand, you taking Holly for her last year of school—she is growing so fast. William, who has never met you, was named after you. He knows you well, as you live forever in our hearts and watch over Holly as she sleeps. I miss you, darling. You taught me what a good friend is, and all my friends feel like they know you, too.... So this year we raise our glasses to you again, those cocktails we used to share after work in Chicago, and every year more people share them with me. September 11 is now our Family Day. We remember the good times we share with you and work on making new ones with each other.... Love you always. xxx

Sarah-שרה

My first true love. I have missed you, and I will always miss you in my heart. I will remember you with the sweetest smile on your face.

Sue, David, Jane, and Anthony ... I grieve with you.

Dear Sarah,

The lovely girl that came on her birthday to save me from the jilted blues—such as she was—so full of care for others. She waited with her friends whilst I applied makeup and clothes fitting for a birthday party—having lost my dear brother a few years previously, I was a needy case. At her birthday party, I met my future husband and our first born is named, of course, Sarah. Rest peacefully, lovely girl, as we will all meet again!

Your friend,
Alison xxxx

Sarah,

So full of fun and life at school in Torquay, you were a breath of fresh air for all of us during our teenage years. Thinking of your family, and every family who lost loved ones.

My darling girl,

How proud you would be of Emily Sarah, your niece, now 2 in 2007. Whenever I look at her, I think of you at that age and how much I love you.

Oh Sarah, my dearest friend, another year has gone, and still I miss you so much. You are with me all the time. I have finally finished the song I wrote for you, and it is on cd. You would be so proud of me. I suppose a part of you has platted through me. I know I must get a grip, but I still miss you so much. I love you, and I know that you are fully aware of this wherever you are.

Your friend,
Marjan

Please watch sarah as she sleeps,
As every night darkness creeps,
As she floated in to the sky,
Everyone moped and cryed goodbye,
But as she is watching from above,
She can see we are happily in love.
So we say as we pray:
God bless, and good night our gleam of light, as we see she brighten's up the darkness of night.
Rest in peace my special cousin:
Sarah Anne Redheffer

Sarah and I were at University together and she was a good friend, though I hadn't seen her for a few years. I heard the news only today March 2004 from another University friend. She was one of life's naturally positive people, full of buzz and energy, playful and mischevious and above all a wonderful person with a heart of gold.  On hearing this awful news, a little bit of me died too. My deepest sympathies are with her husband and family. Resquiat in pace.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
