It is so sad to hear about Simon Dedvukaj. He was very young, only 26 years old. It is shocking for his entire family because he got terribly hurt, just like the other September 11, 2001 victims. The World Trade Center terror attacks were really horrible, and this event is a very solumn moment, sad families and the terror attacks!

Hello MoNi, it's me Meissa. I was so caught up this week and I couldn't get the chance to say hello to you. It's been five-years already since you passed and it's quite obvious that you aren't and never will be forgotten. Everyone here seems to be doing fine. I wish you were able to let everyone know how you are doing up there, but I guess you can say that you already do that by spreading love and happiness. Simon rest in peace, and may God continue to bless you and your family.

You're always in our heart
we have shed lots of tears
for you, a HERO from the start

We hold on to many memories everyday
your smile, laughter, kindness and love
is what we remember, when we pray

The HONOR my family felt when my brother became best-man
IT meant more to us then somebody handing us ancient land

At times when we are all together your spirit fills the air
you have taught us to appreciate life
you have taught us to hold on to each other and care

WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH ---
may your soul rest in peace Simon Dedvukaj 9-11 hero

Love always,

9/11

September 11 the day was clear
In holidays with my family at this beautiful New York year
At my families apartment, looking out of the window
Never thought it would be here

Thinking of meeting my cousin
This would have been one in a dozen
Oh why oh why the day was so clear
He went to work with out no fear
But less we didnít realize our whole world would change,
When seeing the two planes hit the Towers, we were all so drained,
Now my heart will always be stained
Seeing this with my own two eyes, this was not the day for lies
Looking out to the sky, asking my self why oh why

Everyone in the house standing near the TV,
All we could see or hear was
So many crying, running, and so many dead,
It was a day so many of us feared,
Never realizing such horror was ever so near,
Firemen, police, and medical trainees,
All of this on TV
Little did we know what was lying ahead?

All I was thinking is my cousin dead?

This was my first year and second day at New York
In my life I never saw so many tears
Iíve never felt so much pain
But I was thinking about my cousin and my family but mostly my auntie
How would the government explain?
This day was going insane

He died in vain
This was not a game
Never will we forget his name
Simon

Every time I hear that day
Iím always left without a word to say
This was the way, at the sad day
Never will the pain go away
So all Iím left to do is pray

R.I.P Simon

A sorrow that still sings
Of all the tears and emptiness
The loss of loved ones brings.
Your day of birth and burial
Turned out by chance the same,
And so each year when it comes round
We feel both joy and pain.

Our sadness comes from missing you,
And missing you from love,
And love from all the love in you
That we became part of.

Your love is still alive in us,
We feel it ever new;
Our mourning's filled with happiness
By memories of you.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
