Sunny,

You're still in my thoughts and prayers, even after all these years. You are truly missed.

I grew up with Chin Sun in Lawton Oklahoma. We went to school together from grade school all the way up. I can remember staying the night at her house laughing and dancing in her room. We lost touch after a whie and I was devastated to hear of her death. I still see her family around town and my heart goes out to them. I love you Chin Sun.... You were always like a sister to me.

I was Sunny's roomate in Korea. We met the very first day while improcessing our unit in Yongasan Korea. Even though she had a chance to get another room with a bathroom (which was a treat in our barracks) she decided to move to another room with me, because she knew I was decent and probably didn't want to take a chance with another roomate. I was glad she decided to stick it out with me, because she was a great roomate and a great person.
We both met Chris (her fiance) in Korea. They hit it off and she tried to get stationed at the Pentagon to be near him. They were a cute couple!!

Sunny was very close to her family. She spoke highly of all of her family members.

My time in Korea always holds special memories for me, and Sunny is a huge part of them. I wish Chris and all of her family and friends love and peace and I hope that the beautiful memories of Sunny get them through the hard times. My prayers and thoughts are with you always.

I just heard recently that Chin Sun was working in the Pentagon when the attacks occurred and that she was a victim it truly saddens me we were friends for a brief period of time she was a very sweet person and I know that when she joined the military she was very excited to start her new journey in life and I remember the last time I saw her she was getting sent to Korea and I wished her the best for her career and that I was happy that she was happy. It is such a tragity I never thought I would actually know anyone involved in the horrific events that happened that day and it deeply saddens me... to her parents and brother(s)(cant remember if one or more) if they see this I truly am sorry for your loss but just know Chin Sun enjoyed what she did and that now she is in a safer place.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
