What memories I hold since the first days of Tots-A-Lots preschool, girl scouts, grade school spats, high school band, dragging Main Street and grown up Sundays at the Patio Steak House. You always had a great out look on the world and making those around you smile. Today is no different in knowing that peace and happiness is what you would want for the world. We will remember what your memories give us each day and thanks for being you.

I had never heard of Stacey Peak until 10 years ago. I remember she called her mother from the twin towers to tell her she thought she was going to die - what love between a mother and daughter. I remember her every year.

Stacey, you are great and will be missed. I think of you often. We attended USI together and shared some great times. I ran into you again in Tell City a few years before 9/11, never did I imagine that would be the last time we would ever see each other. I miss you!

Today is Bittersweet. Stacey was a dear friend who I very much cared about. We loved going to or just watching Louisville games and shared so many good times they are to hard to count. Stacy, I will never forget you and always hold you in my heart.

Stacy went to valley cottage elementary school. I went there, too

Stacey, you are thought of often here in Perry County Indiana from your family, friends, classmates and everyone that had the pleasure to meet you. Your memory will never die and we will never forget!

Stacy,

You are thought of, not only this day, but also every day! I go to your memorial at Sunset Park quite often. You would absolutely love it. I have sooo many great memories of us that will forever remain in my heart. God bless you and your family.

Thinking of you and your family this morning, Stacey. I always visit your memorial when I get back home to Indiana to visit. I'll bet you and your brother Joe are having a big time in heaven. God bless your family still here. I know they will be having a tough day today, and for that matter, every day without you!

I remember Stacey from grade school and junior high. Yes, she left an impression! She was like that with everyone she met. I reconnected with her for a short time in Louisville then lost touch again. It was a sad day to learn that as I watched the towers fall that I was losing someone I still considered a friend. The world was a better place with her in it. My thoughts and prayers have been with her family and other friends since that day. Thank you for honoring our friend. Rest in peace, Stacey!

Hey Stacey.... you and my sister Carol were good friends. You, she, and Samantha. Always out and about, lol. I will never forget that red hair of yours. I remember my wedding day to Kevin Jordan, who now, has also passed, when you came up to tell me what a beautiful wedding it was. Thank you for that... I know Carol misses you and I will always remember you too. Rest in peace Love. See you again one day.

I can remember growing up and Stacey lived on main st.. Her Dad owned a shoe store. We used to have so much fun as kids running up and down the street doing cheers and just being kids. To this day I love red hair because of Stacey's hair. Isn't it crazy I now have two grandkids w/ red hair. Miss you.

Stacey was a great person! We had many great times together in high school and when we both lived in Evansville. She was so full of life and always made me laugh! I was honored when her niece Missy asked me to attend the five-year anniversary in New York. What a beautiful tribute. That night when we went back to our hotel we stopped by one of the firehouses to pay tribute to their fallen heroes... as we got back to the hotel we opened the curtains and saw the Twin Lights in the sky... God Bless the families and God Bless Our Country!

Every time I go home to visit I go to the river to see your smiling face. I hadn't seen you for years but always think about the project Kammy you and I worked on in high school. Sitting in your room, putting together music for a radio show project. You are deeply missed and will always be remembered for the good person you had always been.

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.
