After just seeing the death of bin Laden it brought up thoughts of the victims and of Steve. I remember the day he was over my apartment visiting Kevin Spencer and told me he got a job in NYC at the World Trade Center I think selling cell phones that was around 1991 or 1992 I think... just want to say to his parents and his siblings that I was thinking of Steve today and I hope today helps heal some wounds, take care and God bless.

I just watched an amazing documentary in the Uk about Stephens story told through a phonecall to his mother Anne Mulderry. I cannot tell you how much this moved me. We will never forget and I am in such admiration of Anne and the tragic events of this day. Rest in peace Stephen.

To Stephen:

Thinking of you this Christmas day. Love and miss you with all my heart.

All my love,

I was assigned to commemorate this man for my Advanced English II class. Even though I didn't give it my all for the 102 Minutes assignments and didn't really work 100% hard enough, I admire this man and hope the best for his family. No grade will show how much he suffered on 9/11. R.I.P., Stephen! :-)

We have just seen the "Last Phone Calls from the Tower" documentary in Australia. It humanised the event more than any other show, and I would like to thank you for sharing Stephen's story. The way Stephen's mother has dealt with the tragedy is an example to us all. My thoughts are with you now and every time I am reminded of 9/11.

God bless you and your wonderful family. Your mother is an inspiration to all mothers! Her strength, dignity, and faith are humbling.

I'm from Belgium, and I was in NYC on that day. I've never gotten back to the city, though I loved it so much. Watching the documentary also gave me so much hope, especially listening to the incredible Stephens: She's full of hope, and she gives us a lesson about what is precious in life. All my thoughts to the victims.

Today is such a sad day, each year never gets easier. You are always in my heart. Thinking of you and your family today and every day. Your wonderful nature and kind spirit is still very much alive. I miss you. All my love.

Steve, I went to grade school with you at St. Teresa. You, me, Brian Cartwright, Dan Whalen were all tight. My heart broke to hear you were lost on 9-11. I still remember laughing and joking with you and our crew. It was such a long time ago but still vivid in my mind. I am praying for you and your family. "We Will Never Forget!"

To the family of Stephen Mulderry,

After watching a documentary about the 9-11 attack, I wanted to say that Stephen is now sleeping with the angels.

Best Wishes and Warm Regards,

Hi Stephen,

I have just watched the documentary, "Last phone calls from the tower" (for the 3rd or 4th time). Although words are certainly not my forte, I would like to try and express to you and your beautiful family my thoughts on what I have just seen. Although I have never met you or your family, there is a clear inner beauty that radiates from the screen when you are on it. Such a cool-looking guy, who I'm sure was loved and respected deeply by both the men and women you came into contact with.

As I sit and watch the documentary, my beautiful 20-month old daughter, Molly, is sitting and laughing whilst eating her breakfast, full of life and the joy that simple things can bring. I feel compelled to tell her that I love her, as I realise ever more increasingly that life is such a precious and delicate thing and that nothing, nothing will ever come close.

The documentary brings a lump to my throat every time, as I cannot fully comprehend why this senseless act took place and why so many lovely innocent people were killed by men they never even knew. Just as sad as I am that you are no longer here, I am in complete agreement with what your beautiful mother said, that for those 33 years in which you did live, there are enough fantastic memories to last many lifetimes.

So, though you are no longer on this earth in physical form, your memories will live forever more. And I truly believe that you will meet again and share many more moments together.

Lastly, whenever I am down or worried about something silly, like not having enough clean towels or not enough money to buy something nice to wear, I will remember you and all the other people who tragically died on that unforgettable day and try to realise that none of it really matters. You have also inspired me to be a better person and one that will try to (like it seems you always did) be nice to friend and foe alike and treat people with respect.

Much love and respect, Stephen, and of course to your angelic mother. I will think about you often and use you as a role model to my own children.

David (Chelmsford, England)

Whenever I pass a playground in NYC with a basketball hoop, I think of you Steven.

You have entered my mind a lot lately, so I thought that I would leave some thoughts: While travelling the other day in NYC, I saw a flag with all of the victims' names from 9/11/2001. I sought out yours and feel that I still have a connection to that day because you and I attended the same high school, and I still have connections to UALB. Though we were never close, I'm thinking of you, and everyone else that day, as I remember the events and where this world has stood since that day.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site.
