Dad,

I miss you so much. I wish I knew you better. A lot of people say I look just like you. In heaven can you eat candy and never get FAT? Do you have a mansion in heaven? I go to Lovejoy. I have a lot of friends. I REALLY WANT A DOG! I really want a lab or pug and French bulldog, but I will get one next year. I'm really good at math, and i'm good with electronics. I love to sing and write songs. I love NEW YORK. I would like to go there.

Love,
Jacqueline

Steve, we miss you. Jacqueline is so smart. She made the honor roll this year. She is going to be in third grade. She looks a lot like you. She also got an honor in math. Her teacher said she was "a math Diva." You would be so proud of her. Keep watching over her. Everything has changed so much. I'm so glad you asked Jesus to be your Lord and King. I know you are with him.

Steve,

I just had my second girl. Her name in Teagan Astelle. I wish you were here to share this special moment. I will cherish our memories for ever. I love you, brother.

No worries,
Price

I went to school with Steve in Bridgewater, NJ - I wasn't close to him, but knew of him for years. When I learned that he was lost on 9/11, it made me very sad to think of him and the family he left behind. As we reflect on this 6th anniversary of that terrible day, I want to send my thoughts, prayers and sympathies out to Steve's family and all of the victims' families and to let them know that there are people that will never forget. Bless all of you.

I grew up in Bridegwater, NJ with Steve. We attended grade school, middle school, and high school together. I lost touch with Steve during high school, but when I heard that he was lost on 9/11, I was flooded with memories of Steve as a kid. He was always a nice-looking and popular kid, but almost completely without vanity or conceit (except maybe about his hair, which was always perfect). I remember he was good at basketball and baseball, but was almost completely without arrogance. I wasn't a very popular or well-liked kid, but Steve was always kind to me at an age when it was so much easier for a popular kid to be cruel. I remember he was the first kid to wear puma sneakers, and he made me want to get them. I remember one season in little league when I actually struck out in every single at bat!, and Steve was just about the only kid on my team who didn't get on my case about it. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Steve later in life, as I'm sure that he grew up to be the same well-mannered, gracious person he always was as a kid. My condolences to his family and all of his many friends. I'm sure he is sorely missed.

Steven, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you. You were one of my best friends and like a brother to me. How I wished that you were still here when I went though my breast cancer as you were always the supportive, caring friend who always pushed me to be better. I miss you so much. The check-in e-mails, the celebratory calls for our birthdays.... I remember the day it happened, that morning I was trying to call you because I realized that we didn't speak for our birthdays that July.... Another year is about to pass, and I still can't believe that you are not part of my life. But you will always be in my heart. I honor you everyday, by living my life.

Always, Alecia

P.S.  Happy Birthday!

The light of Steve's sparkling spirit will shine brightly throughout eternity. Knowing Steve for 15 years of his life, is one of the largest blessings God has bestowed upon my life. He asked me to pray for him frequently while still with us, my prayers will continue until my time comes due. This is a tribute to my truest confidant. The tears still flow for my dear friend. 11-7-2004

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
