Susan, friends from past ECBC committees have posted photos from our staff days and among the peaceful smiles in these photos was you. I know that you're in a peaceful place, praising our almighty God. We miss you terribly, but I am so glad that we met so that we may see each other again in eternity!

Susan,
it's funny how the briefest of relationships can change us forever. We were colleagues/friends for a just a few years... both workaholics who, by nature, coordinated events AND friends by extension of our personalities. You encouraged me follow my own dreams (peace corp? ok, interesting notion in theory...;-). 9 yrs now have passed and while there was no peace corp, there was law school and now, a career at DHS. I think of you all the time and hope that my deeds (the good ones, at least) honor your life. Rest well, rest easy, my friend. msg

Hey Sis,
Read your name at the podium at ground zero, but you knew that. Still feel the emptiness after nine years. It doesn't go away. The anniversary is upon us again. We had our family gathering last week; you were on my mind as the go-to person that organizes events. Wish you were at the gathering; you were our pride and joy, the gem of our family. Whenever I think there are no more tears, God allows us to make more. I still miss you a lot.

Hey Sis,
Seven and a half years ago you were taken from us. It seems like only yesterday. I can still hear the explosion; I can still smell the white cloud. I still see the room where, on a hard conference room table, I sewed people up on that fateful day, always with you on my mind, wondering, "Where are you?" I can still see me collapsing down when I received the phone call that you were at the meeting on the 106th floor. I miss you still very much. Kelly and Moisie are bigger. When I look at Moisie, I can't help but see so much of you in her. Each day I ask for the Lord's return: we have a lot to catch up on. Love you, sis; always have, and always will.
Your brother,
Gordon

Five years have gone by and I still can't believe you are gone. It seems like a lifetime since we were at Pace Univ. together. I miss your sense of humor and wit. I could always rely on you telling me like it is whether it was good or bad, and something you expected of me as well. I always looked forward to our annual contacts whether it was on the phone, dinner or just a quick letter in our Christmas cards to each other. I hope that your religous beliefs have taken you to the beautiful and peaceful place that you deserve. I'll never forget you, Susan.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
