Dear Suzanne and family,

We are honored to have accepted the memorial bracelet which bears your name. We received it 10-19-2008 at the site. We will remember you always in our prayers as you sit with our mother from Good Shepherd Parish, whose maiden name is Patricia Geraty, 1921-2008. May you rest in peace.

To the family and friends of Suzanne Geraty,

I would just like to extend my thoughts and prayers to all those who were touched by knowing Suzanne. I never met her, but I had the honor of reading her name at this year's ceremony. I was extremely proud to do so, and I feel that this will forever connect us.

Sincerely,
John Darcy, Sq-18 F.D.N.Y.

Suzie Girl,

I still miss and think of you daily. Five years later the ache has not lessened nor has the memory of your infectious smile  and laughter faded. I think of you often and never leave you out of my thoughts. I often sit and talk with you at Angels Cirlce and that is when I feel you most.

I miss you girl.

Ah Suzanne, thinking of you as I so often do.  Found a sight that had a photo of you and I can see that little girl playing on Gelston Avenue.  You were a sweet child and looking at you as an adult, your sweetness still shines.  Well, Angel, just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you.

almost three years later and not a day passes that I dont think about you.... we all love you so much... I clearly remember your infectious smile and how it could light up a room.... how often it did, whether sitting in the backyard on 86 road or in chapel at camp....the only solace that is left with all of us that has been touched by you is your bright spirit that even in death, three years later grows strong... this world was a better place with you in it...
the jacobsen's love you and will never forget Suzanne, the third sister.

Suzanne was such a happy and giving person.  She was a wonderful volunteer with disabled people at a summer camp, where we met.  She was a wonderful friend for many years and I will continue to cherish so many great memories of her.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
