Taimour, you will always be twenty-nine, and you were taken far too soon. God bless you and your family.

My husband and I visited the site this past weekend, and I bought a bracelet, one of approximately 3000, each with the name of one lost on 9/11/01. I unwrapped the bracelet and found the name, Taimour Khan, inscribed on it. Because my husband was one of the lucky ones who barely escaped from Tower II that awful day, we are very tied to all those who were lost. I will wear the bracelet and remember Taimour always. From reading the comments on this site, I know he was a kind and loved man.

Taimour and I only knew each other for a few months before 9-11. He invited me up to his office, but I never made it there. It feels like I knew him forever. I am getting married this June and so wish I could have had him there. He was a GREAT person and will NEVER EVER be forgotten.

It has been 5 years since my husband David's best friend is gone. We have a photo of him in our apartment that we never take down. He was a special person. He always watched out for me at parties, like a big brother. While David was somewhere else in the party socializing, he would keep me company. Our conversations were never shallow, always about future plans for bettering ourselves. The last time we spent together was at a friend's birthday party the week before 9/11. He made me laugh every time I saw him. He always had that mischeivous smile and he truly enjoyed life to the fullest. We missed him at Zara's wedding and all had a tear in their eye. I was blessed to have known him.

It is almost 3 years and I still can't get used to life without you little brother. Mommy misses you and life only seems half without you for her. You were so special and I wish I had more time to spend with you. How unlucky I feel to have lost such a wonderful friend, brother, confidant. I was truly blessed to know you and wish you were here everyday of my life. I love you sweet person. I will miss you forever and life will never be as happy as it once was when you were here.
Your sister,
Zara

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
