I remember Thomas from high school. He was a really nice guy and a down to earth type person.

I was surfing the web for Gardner family ties (genealogy research) and found Thomas's site. My heart grew heavy with the lost this family has experienced. Although we are not blood kin, we do share the same name and I feel a tie to all who knew and loved Thomas. Prayers for strenght, healing, and for family bonds to come together in time will be said often. I care, my family cares, and indeed Americans care!

Tom was my landlord for many years. I can't say I knew him well, but the Tom I dealt with was a good and decent person, easygoing with a good sense of humor and a very balanced take on life and the world around him. He and Liz were a tight partnership, one that I admired and one that gave me hope. Only the good die young. That's the only thing that can make any sense of his death to me.

I played hockey with Tommy (and his brother Joe) for a few years on a team called the Phantoms. We did not win many games but that never seemed to bother him. He always showed up with a pleasant demeanor and ready to play. Just a real nice guy. We were all very sorry to hear about what happened.

Regards,
Patrick McNelis

I hope that everyone who visits this page understands the pain that me and my family have gone through these past couple of years.  He was my uncle and since he is now gone I only have one left.  Since my uncle has passed on my family is completely torn apart and you would think it would only bring us all closer but I now do not talk to none of my family.  Not even my own father which was his brother.  I know he is watching all of us from heaven and I want him to know how much I love and miss him and how much of a role he played in our family.  I love you Uncle Tom!!!!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
