A LIFE ONCE LIVED
A BRIGHT SUNNY MORNING FILLED WITH MUCH FEAR
THE ASHY DUST BUT HAVE ALL DISAPPEARED
A LIFE WAS LOST, A LOVED ONE KNOWN
A PERSON, A FRIEND, ONE OF OUR OWN
BRAVE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
SO OTHERS COULD LIVE AND OTHERS SURVIVE
GONE IN THE DUST AND SHADOW OF LIGHT
WE WILL NEVER FORGET THEIR FAITHFUL PLIGHT
YEARS GONE BY FOREVER SO CLEAR
MEMORIES OF LOVED ONES WE FOREVER HOLD NEAR
MAY THE ANGELS SURROUND THEM WITH LOVE FROM ABOVE
FOREVER REMEMBERED, FOREVER SO LOVED

POEM WRITTEN IN MEMORY OF ALL WHO LOST THEIR LIVES ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 THEIR FATEFUL DAY.

i feel very bad for u

He started the day with a stretch and a yawn,
Coffee was downed, long before dawn,
Bacon and eggs, with a side of light banter,
Served straight up with firehouse candor.

Out to check trucks, inspect every pumper,
And test all the gear from bumper to bumper.
Amidst conversations and playful jibes,
Came the call, then fast-paced strides.

Quickly manned trucks hit the street,
Not knowing, but trusting, what fate He'd meet.
He rolled from the station, a little before nine,
Soon to grasp horror that would change all time.

On the horizon, stood our towers of trade,
An inferno of hell, and people afraid,
Running for life and crying to God,
Billowing Black Death, where life had trod,

And in goes this warrior of such a brave clan,
To rescue and aid every woman and man,
But sadly, for FF Thomas A Casoria, it will be his last call,
He died with all honor of giving his all.

It wasn't for money, or glory, or fame,
It wasn't for vanity, so you'd remember his name,
"It's just what I do," He'd modestly say,
So remember tonight when you kneel down to pray,

God bless His Brave Souls, so gentle, so tough,
Lord take him to heaven, He's given enough

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
