Time to remember, time to say thanks, time to let you know that the sacrifice you gave will never be forgotten!

Hi. My name is Derrick Trotman. I was watching a documentary about Sept 11. At the end of the documentary I heard the names of a few of the firemen who lost their lives. I will always remember.... We cannot take life for granted. I promise to teach my children the good of man and how selfless these brave men were. God bless.

P.S., I didn't know any of the firemen, but I really wanted to express how I feel.

Tim,

I cannot believe it has been 6 years. It seems like yesterday that we spoke. I still think of you and miss your smile. Thanks for being there for me.

XO,
Marybeth

Buddy, it has been six years and the pain hasn't subsided. You were the most important person in my life, and I cannot let you go--ever. I wish our time together never ended, but as they say, "All good things must come to an end"; however, this end was not what I imagined. I will love you always and forever. Love, Buddy2

I came across a dollar bill today that was stamped with the following message. It said "Never forget 9-11-01 Tom and Tim Haskell" Anyway I did a search and found this website. I wanted to let you know that I said a prayer for each today. God Bless them and God Bless America.

To a true Hero.... WE WILL NEVER FORGET... God Bless for answering the call.... I've never met your family, but Tim and Tom were my wife's second cousins... their grandfather was brother to my wife's grandmother, Helen. Nearly 5 years have passed and the sacrifice doesn't get easier to understand, only more Noble and Valiant... rest in peace!

Tim,
I still miss you and think of you alot.  I remember the fun times on your boat, Island Park and the Bridge Parties.  I'm so glad I met you, just wish you didn't have to leave so soon.

Timmy,
I will NEVER forget meeting you for the first time at the "Dublin Pub" and how you changed my life.  Everytime I see a White Bronco, I think of you...Everytime I hear a song by "Crystal Waters," I think of you...Everytime I am on the Wantagh Parkway, I think of you...Everytime I see a boat, I think of you...Everytime I see a motorcycle, I think of you...etc, etc.....  I think about you all the time and pray for your family...

Tim,

Another year has gone by my friend and it still hurts to know your gone. I sometimes wish that we could go back to being kids when life was at it's simplest. I think of you everyday and pray for your family. Be happy in heaven and look in on us from time to time.

I miss your smiles and I miss your laughter. More, I miss you. Not a day goes by without a thought of you. I wish I could share so much with you. I especially wish you could meet my daugher....

I never met Tim, but I think about him a lot after seeing his picture and reading about him.  He was so handsome.  And he sounds like he was a great guy.  I wish I could have known him.  What a tragedy.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
