My deepest and sincere sympathy to your sister, Kizi as well as your wife and children. I read the story about you being on the staircase, I deeply moved to tears. I know God was with you that day. May you rest in peace, Mr. Wald. You are in Heaven with your parents now. May God comfort your family and may time ease their pain and sorrow.

I remember watching the "Inside the Twin Towers" documentary on TV not too long ago about Victor being one of the many victims trapped inside The Twin Towers when they were hit and him working as strong and smart as he could to get out of the burning buildings. He showed great heart and being calm as he could to get out of the building to see light again and even leaving a phone call to someone to tell his wife Rebecca that he would being getting out of there alive before his live was taken away in this tragedy as he was unable to make it out of The Twin Towers. I hope god is taking care of you up there Victor. R.I.P. Victor Wald

I saw Victor on a 9/11 documentary. It was so sad to see what his last moments, filled with confusion and terror, were like. My greatest sympathies to his entire family for a loss that can never be filled. God bless you all!

Im british and the 9/11 bombs have always taken an interest to me, I saw a documentary including you and harry, then also read another story about harrys friend talking about how he had to leave him behind because of such a brave man he was. He expressed that he never knew whether he died or not and its saddened me to think he might not of known until now whether you got out safe. I think you and all the men women and children that died were the bravest people, and your heroic stories will never be forgoten, I certianly will pass yours down the generations. RIP

I saw your story on a documentary. I learned the story of you, Harry, and Hong. I got very depressed when I learned that you and Harry did not make it out alive. I almost cried, and I rarely get sad like that. Someone like you would have been a great man, and I read that you knew an incredible amount of stuff about languages, and you should have became a teacher to avoid death. It was incredible that Harry gave his life for you, and you two are always in my thoughts.

I was watching the movie, "Inside the World Trade Center," and in part 8, they showed this guy named Victor Wald, and he told another guy he had known that this terrorist group AL QAEDA would do 9-11.
I do not know him, but he's safe with god now. GOD BLESS VICTOR WALD AND AMERICA!

Every year around 9/11 I write here because the story of Victor and Harry touches me. Not a day goes by that I don't think about them. You guys are heroes in my book. God bless you all.

I just read your and Harry's story, and even though it is eight years later, I am still moved to tears by your courage and bravery. My father is a heavy-set man as well, and if I were in the same situation as Harry, I couldn't have left you, either. You are an inspiration to the world.... Rest in peace.

I saw Victor on the 9/11 special, and he was with Harry as the North Tower fell and killed them both. I was crying when I knew they didn't make it out. But their friend, Hong, survived but felt guilty leaving them behind. I would have felt the same way, too. I hope Victor's wife and children will be happy again someday, and I know Victor is always with them in their hearts and spirits. Bless the Wald Family and Victor Wald! :'(

I never met Victor, but I saw him being helped by Harry Ramos in "Inside the Twin Towers." Victor seemed like a very nice guy at my job in the south tower. I am saddened I didn't get to meet him before he passed.

Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
