Just watching your wife on a tv documentary airing in Ireland tonight for the tenth anniversary. You seemed like such a wonderful son, brother and husband. Your family are missing you dearly. You did not deserve to be taken from them in such a horrific way :-(
I did not know you Vincent but I am Irish and live in Dublin and was touched by your story x RIP

Vinny was a great man in my eyes. Growing up with his daughters he used to take us to the park down the block, take us bike riding and much more. I was only six when he passed, not knowing much of what had happened, but I thank my lucky stars each night that he was one of the brave men and women that helped save hundreds of lives. I only regret not knowing how truly a great man he was until he died. Like they say, you don't know what you got until it's gone, and Vinny was my next door neighbor and my father's best friend (plus golfing buddy). So as I finish up my thoughts of the great man he was, I hear the church bells ring from the town. The very same church his memorial services was held. Thank you Vincent Danz, my hero.
Love you always,
Billie Langon and the Langon family.

I am truly blessed in that I had the honor and privilege of working with Vincent in both the HPD and the NYPD. We were more than partners and co-workers, we were friends. A friendship I will always cherish. I learned so much about life and giving from Vincent. He had a heart of gold. Vincent was a true hero. He died a hero, but in life he was my hero. I credit Vincent with saving my life during an encounter with an emotionally disturbed person. I thank God Vincent was my partner that day.
I think of you often, Vincent. Words cannot describe the loss I feel. I know you well, so I am confident that you are with our Lord in a very good place. I miss you, brother. God bless you, Vincent Danz.
With Love,
Brian Wall

I knew Vinny from Southampton and always thought what a great guy from a great family. I hadn't thought of him in a year or so (since 9/11 of 2007) but I was going through some old photos today and found a few of New Year's Eve 198?, when a gang of us rented a room on central park west and had us a good party. There are a few photos of Vinny with a lamp shade on his head! LOL And a few of he and I, arm and arm. I loved and miss you Vin. I'm sure the family has told the children what a great man he was. I knew Winifred and Tom (not Winnie... Winifred please she said to me!) before they left this earth. I know in my heart they are all together looking down and feeling all the love from us floating up to them. I keep them all dear.

I knew Vinnie from our elementary school in Jackson Heights, and I was good friends with his sister Winnie. Vinnie was friends with my nephew, Tom. I have very warm memories of Vinnie growing up. Although we lost touch when his family moved to South Hampton, his sister and I would try to stay in touch. I was heart broken when I heard he was a victim of that tragic day. I now live in Orlando, FL—but I was able to visit my family in 2004. They still live in the old neighborhood. I went to the site of the Trade Center while I was home and said a prayer for Vinnie and thanked him for all the smiles he gave me whenever he saw me, and I keep his family in my prayers today.
We miss you, Vinnie.
Much love,
Cathy Healy

I am a K9 trainer/instructor for the DHS/TSA. We provide explosive detector canines to deter terrorism. We have a puppy breeding program to provide canines for our program. The puppies are named after 9-11 victims. I am raising a puppy named after Vincent Danz. I would be honored to share more information about the program with the Danz family if they are interested. christopher.pirolo@dhs.gov

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible.
