Today I climbed stairs at Red Rocks in Denver Colorado in honor of the victims of 9/11. We circled the ampetheater 9 times totaling more than 1000 steps to represent the elevation climb of the twin towers. Over 3000 people participated and each wore the names of the firefighters lost that day. I was honored to wear the name of William David Lake and thank him and all the people who sacrificed their lives on 9/11/01. Shawna Johnson Denver Colorado

Today I was at the healing fields in Tempe, Arizona today and selected a couple of names to photograph. Its a card listing William David Lake, and a bio attached to a flag with a yellow ribbon. Thanks to William for his courage and attention to duty. I am sure he got his reward.

Billy Lake's heroic memory lives on in TSA Explosive Detection K-9 LLake, named after Billy. LLake is a handsome yellow Labrador retriever, born, bred, and trained at Lackland AFB. He currently resides with his handler in Honolulu and is working at the Honolulu International Airport.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
