You were remembered today!

Our dearest friend, as soon as we heard of the devastation at the World Trade Center we knew you were gone. Not because we were sure you perished in the rumble but because we knew that you would never leave anyone behind as long as you were still able to move. Thank you for being our friend, for sharing your optimism, sense of humor, sense of humanity, enthusiasum for life and just being there as a friend. We are honored that we were able to meet and share the joy of your family. Know that you are truly loved and missed by your friends and, most especially, by your family. You will be missed forever but never forgotten...someday we hope that your vision of the world will truly be a reality rather than just a song titled.... "Image All the People" by J. Lennon. See you at Mahagoney Bar our friend!
Love, Anne and John K.

I did not know William Abrahamson. A few years ago I bought an American flag at a 9/11 memorial and his name was attached to it. Since that time he and his family have been in my prayers. I think of him every time we put out the flag.

Bill, You were a great friend, one who made me laugh. For that, I will never forget you.

All I can think of are the words from the Marine Corps hymn about those who were in the Marine Corps"...they will find the streets (of Heaven) are guarded by United States Marines." Semper Fi and rest in peace.

Everyone who dies on 9/11... God Bless. Amen! William, the unemaginable happened to you a decade ago because of someones stupid choice. You were one of the 3000 people who dies that very day. God bless you and have him forever hold you in his arms.

I ran a mile in memory of you. It was mile #7. I wish there were more that I could do, but you are not forgotten by those who love you, nor even by those who didn't even know you.

You were my hero. You remain my hero, and the hero of the entire world ... a simple man, with a brilliant mind. Thank God for YOU....

Rest with the angels, beloved
Just me, a nobody

I remember you well from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from the '70s.  I am very sorry that this happened. But I was very happy to hear you had married and had a son, Eric. I will miss you, cry for you, and never forget.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
