Bill, I thought of you today as I often do on 9/11. We worked together at Liberty Mutual in 10 Rock for many years. I still remember when I called you "Opie" and you laughed. I avoided watching TV today knowing that I would cry and just as I gave in, I saw your name on World news tonight, and the flood gates opened up. You were such a good friend to me when I needed you. I will never forget our talks and your comforting words when I needed them the most. Thank you so much for touching my life and being there when I needed a friend the most. I will always love you my "red headed step child". I will see you in heaven.
Love Silvia.

I saw your name among those who lost their lives in the World Tade Center attacks on this, the tenth Anniversary of 9/11. I did not know you, and we share nothing but our surname, our common humanity, and our American citizenship. Rest in peace, William, in the knowledge that you are not, and never will be forgotten.

Billy,
I was thinking about you today as I often do. You were such a great friend and such a unique, adorable, sincere, and special person. I remember our lunches in Rock Plaza on sunny days, our dinner parties, the San Gennaro Fest ... so many memories. And your face, and your laugh ... there is no one like you. Your family and the life you made are beautiful. I love you and miss you so much.

I remember the first time I met Billy... and the rest of his family. It always brings a smile to my face. The smiles kept growing more and more every time I was with "the deans".
The love was and is always there.

Billy,
I worked with you at Reliance National Insurance Co. I didn't know you all that well, but I do remember you always having a nice smile for everyone. I especially remember you being Santa Claus for the kids of the other employees at the Christmas party. You were a good man who left us too soon.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
