Its been 10 years since I seen your pretty smile. Your future was taken from you to early in life. I hope you are resting easy. You are, and will always be loved and missed.

Know that you are cherished as a person by everyone that came in contact with you and that your smiles are always remembered. God Bless

Taken too soon... thoughts and prayers to Yvonee's family.

Yvonne was my corporate travel agent and I spoke to her every day and often a few times a day over the years. We developed a relationship and shared so much laughter and also used our experiences to help each other through frustrations. When Yvonne's team came to meet with u,s I remember her with a smile - she owned that boardroom! None of the questions were routine and almost all of them were referred to Yvonne to the point it became the source of running one-liners - "are you the secret owner of this agency?!" Yvonne was beautiful on the inside with her compassion and humor. She was beautiful on the outside with her long hair and sense of style and was smart, capable, efficient. Always loved and always remembered and missed. She is forever a family-girl and prayers are with her family always.

Yvonne,

You, too, were taken before your time, but I will not forget you in my prayers. May God bless you.

I'm so sorry for you... sorry that you and your family didn't get all the nice years ahead with each other that you all had the right to expect... but one thing is sure, you don't miss so much nice in the world, it's not the same place that it was before you moved to heaven. Hugs.

Dear Yvonne,

I don't know why I haven't done this since 2001, but I'm writing to wish you a Happy Birthday! If I'm not mistaken, this coming Saturday would have been your 37th year on earth. I'll be turning 45 on the odometer on the same day. You'll stick out in my mind forever only because, shortly after the attacks, friends and relatives of yours were on the street, holding signs in front of the news cameras, looking for you, and I couldn't help but notice that you shared a birthday with me. (They had it posted prominently on one sign.) I believe there's a reason for everything and that your number is up when it's up, but I know you left enough of your imprint in the hearts and minds of friends and relatives to last them for the rest of their lives. I wrote a short note not long after the dust settled, and received a very nice response from your friend, Jennifer Pittello. If I ever chance to meet her, I'd like her to tell me all about you. Until that happens, I wish you a Happy Birthday and want you to know that you are in all of our thoughts. I know you have a warm and safe place for all of eternity.

Yvonne Bonomo is a beautiful and special person and will always be remembered by all those who love her. She became OUR angel on 911 and now she watches over all of us and helps guide us in our lives. We were Cathedralites and had many good times together. Yvonne celebrated my 19th birthday and that is a day that I will never forget. Yvonne please continue to watch over us. We all still need you. REST IN PEACE OUR ANGEL!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
